Muhkamat and Mutasyabihat

Part 9: Conclusion

This section is the conclusion of the entire series. My original intention was to complete a full verse from Surah al-Fatihah by explaining three great words: Malik, Yawma, and ad-Dīn, so that you can see a complete example of how the method of tadabbur is applied comprehensively and systematically.

However, as we have seen in Part 8, the discussion about Malik alone has become long and profound. All the more so when we touch upon Yawma, which involves more than 200 verses, and ad-Dīn, which connects over 20 verses covering the journey from paradise, to the world, to barzakh, and then back to paradise or hell. Therefore, I have decided to end it here.

What is more important than completing all sections is that you now understand the method of tadabbur itself and how to become among the Ulul Albab, those who think with intellect and remember Allah with heart.
If you wish to add tools using artificial intelligence (AI), you may do so.
But for myself, I choose to be cautious, because AI can take over the function of the ‘aql and qalb if it is not governed by faith.

Remember, our goal is not merely to collect knowledge to enrich the mind, but to become acquainted with the Ruh of the Qur’an, so that it lives and resides within the heart. There is no truer path except the way that Allah Himself has shown.

Take the information from your search results or references, then open the Mushaf al-Qur’an, look, read, translate, understand, verify, reflect, compare, ponder, take heed, then praise Allah, glorify Allah, and magnify Allah.

That is the best path. If you do this for every word in Ummul Qur’an – al-Fatihah, eventually you will journey through and uncover the entire Ummul Kitab.

Insha-Allah, may the original purpose be fulfilled. The true aim of this Muhkamat and Mutasyabihat series is not merely to interpret verses, but to show how the muhkamat verses form the foundation, pillar, and firm axis, while the mutasyabihat verses interconnect, support one another, and ultimately return to their source.

My hope is that we all will have the courage to open the Qur’an with the eyes of a believer who is certain that this Book does not mislead, but that every letter within it is a network of truth that leads us back to Allah.
If you take al-Fatihah as your foundation, then from Ummul Qur’an, you will be guided through the entire Ummul Kitab.

Closing Supplication

“Allāhumma aj‘al al-Qur’āna rabī‘a qulūbinā, wa nūra ṣudūrinā, wa jalā’a aḥzāninā, wa dhahāba humūminā wa ghumūminā, wa qā’idanā wa sā’iqanā ilā riḍwānika wa jannātik.”

“O Allah, make the Qur’an the spring of our hearts, the light of our chests, the remover of our sorrow, the reliever of our distress and grief, and our guide and driver toward Your pleasure and Your gardens.”

May it be beneficial and may you continue to succeed.
The End.
