Truth Does Not Require Us to Believe or Disbelieve

Do you think I am not troubled by the matter of the end times, especially by the various theories regarded as signs that have caused us to divide into many groups?

I have noticed that many of the people who regularly contact me privately keep repeating what I used to do.

I am sharing this so that we may reflect on ourselves together in this world full of fitnah. I do not want you to repeat my mistakes!

In those days, I used to take material from everywhere. During the era when people sold ebooks, whenever I came across someone selling one, I would buy it. At that time, I hoped that the explanations of the Qur’an and the hadiths that appeared in my dreams would be found there.

When Facebook first made it possible to create groups, I joined every group.

It was also the era of blogging. I read every blog.

At that time, I was also a researcher and writer. For everything I did, I drew from various sources and conducted my own analysis. I even thought I was the one who knew best at the time.

See, I have already said that knowledge is a hijab and a test.

Do you know what the danger is?

There are two situations.

The First Situation

We see everyone presenting a certain topic A with argument B.

No one presents argument C, even though C is the truth.

Our minds automatically interpret this and conclude that B is the truth.

This is because the majority use argument B.

Example: The majority agree that PBT will initiate the rise of the Panji Hitam dari Timur in the East and hand it over to IM.

The Second Situation

There is a trait within human beings: they are drawn to oddities.

When everyone takes B, that person will study C and adopt C as the conclusion of their own analysis.

Example: Everyone knows that the Kaaba is in Mecca. When he receives strange news, he will study the Kaaba in Petra, Jordan.

The Danger of Taking Ideas from Others in Search of Guidance

These two situations are dangerous. They will keep us trapped for years before we realise it. I have gone through this. Some of you have as well.

When I read all the hadiths related to the end times in all the Kutub al-Sittah and other books, I found one general problem.

The interpretations of the ulama were based on the contemporary data available to them, the knowledge they possessed at the time and the information of their era. Technology, meanwhile, has advanced rapidly over the past 30 years.

This means that the understanding of earlier times was not future-oriented or holistic.

This was not the fault of the researchers or the ulama. However, understanding of these hadiths was limited to what could be anticipated at that time.

Yet sometimes it is not as previously understood and must be reviewed by people of our time.

It was during this review that the two situations I mentioned above occurred.

We encounter the findings of other people’s studies, then take bits and pieces from them and turn them into information in our minds.

We then assume, “This is the truest guidance I must hold on to.”

Do You Know What the Truest Guidance Is?

Do you know what the truest guidance is? There is no guidance at all. That is what is truest.

Forget it, discard it and return to the Rabb. Let the Rabb guide us. That is the haq guidance.

Do not believe our analysis one hundred percent without question because it causes us to “make ourselves exist” even though we do not exist. Only He exists.

Some of you may say that I am theorising. We have to use reason, right?

I am asking you to recall the memories in your mind, especially if you have followed BAZ for a long time and used your reason.

When did you first come to know As-Sa’ah and who was the first person to invite you to study As-Sa’ah through the Qur’an?

Who invited you to discuss the topic of hijrah to Mecca? Was it not everyone using the narrative that PBT would rise in the East as Bani Jawi?

Who was the first to invite you to think that Ad-Dukhan would occur before Imam Mahdi?

When did you first learn about Baksyatal Kubra and who invited you to think about Baksyatal Kubra, namely the siege of Mecca before the bay’ah?

All of these are examples from the Qur’an that had never been discussed before.

I had never encountered any of them throughout the many years I spent researching this subject.

I believe you came to know and discover all of that through BAZ, right?

I want to tell you that I myself first came to know them at BAZ. It is difficult for me to explain how.

Most recently, who was it that said PBT would wait for the Panji Hitam dari Timur in Iraq?

Then who introduced you to the idea that the sign of As-Sa’ah would come immediately after stones and trees spoke about the Jews?

I know that all of this is new.

I have gone through all of it because it was a process of compulsion from the Rabb that lasted for more than a decade.

Back then, I was just like some of you. I took from here and there, looking for what suited my preferences.

The Reality of Truth

But eventually I realised this truth:

Truth is not measured by the number of people who believe it or by the majority.

If we seek the truth and look at the number of people, then conclude that it is true, that does not change the reality of truth.

Truth does not require us to believe or disbelieve.

If we take it upon ourselves to make our own analyses, we are also capable of being wrong, just as I was when I became trapped in the past.

I am writing this post because I am someone who once made all the mistakes some of you are making now.

Although this post may sound a little boastful, it is up to you whether you want to accept it or not.

I have drawn from various surahs of the Qur’an, such as Surah Ad-Dukhan, Saba’, al-Anbiya’ and others throughout my work at BAZ.

I invite you to think with the purpose of delivering a reminder and a warning.

If you do not believe me, believe in the Qur’an and turn to it yourself.

In the Qur’an there is a certain attitude that shows you have rejected the reminder and warning. I discussed it in the series Nusantara: Tanah Pemula Kebangkitan Akhir Zaman.

I do not particularly care and I am not surprised if you hold various opinions and reject it because that is not among my priorities when giving reminders. My task is to deliver, not to debate.

I am conveying this concern of mine directly.

If you dare to reject me without thinking deeply even though you do not even know me, it is not impossible that one day during the hijrah you will meet the future IM who has not yet received the bay’ah. You may then argue with him.

I do not want that to happen to you. That is why I am reminding you and myself.

You may be able to win if you debate him. You win because he yields, not because he loses.

Whether you win or lose, I do not think he will care at that time.

He may be forgiving. But what I fear and want to warn you about is this: the unseen ones around him may not be forgiving.

It is not certain that the inhabitants of the heavens will forgive you for behaving disrespectfully toward a beloved of Allah such as IM.

That is why I am reminding myself and all of you now.

I do not want you to work yourself to exhaustion only to end up disappointed.

Reflect on this. If you think I am wrong, just unfollow me. Then focus on what you believe in.

Focus on one path rather than “gambling” on many paths. The Rabb will look at our efforts.
